A Letter from the Editor

I'm double posting today. Don't let this anomaly hide my rendition of Tina and Jerry's visit down below!

Dear Readers,

Let's chat. I'm sick of writing weekend-round-up posts at the time being. Things are feeling too formulaic lately and since they have become kinda boring to crank out, I bet they're getting pretty stale to read, too. I hope this goes without saying, but I will say it to be crystal clear: this has nothing to do with the people that visit (I love you guys) or the ways in which we spend our weekends. It's that I need to shake things up for the sake of my creativity and the momentum I have to keep writing here every week.

You can expect to see less of what we're up to and more about what gets me excited these days. I am feeling inspired to write about my current podcast rotation, our recent cooking habits, an update on my academic endeavors, etc. There is a lot on my mind these days besides how we vacation.

I am going to go out on a limb here to ask, what do you think? Do those changes sound appealing? Is there anything you'd be interested in reading about that I have to offer? Your feedback is welcome in comment form or in my inbox at M dot Fitzgerald at Gmail dot Com.

Thanks everybody.

Love,

Mary

P.S. This does not mean I'm going to cease taking photos. Those will always be viewable at my flickr page!

Yea! Hmm, things I would love to hear you expound upon? Maybe your pigs in costumes calendar?? haha, just kidding. I think you should just write about whatever you're ruminating on at the moment, or whatever's got you riled up. You're always interesting to read! Keep including pics of meals you make, though--they make my mouth water! :) Let's cook soon!

I think what you have written is fine, but if your looking to shake it up, I am all for that as well.

Maybe a bit on how your marriage works, meaning what you two do to get out of bad cycles, resolve fights and remember your partner. I think many people would benefit from your experiences in the wild world of love. No ones an expert, but real life experiences, and how you two dealt with them would be a fascinating read I think.

Your readers represent a wide range of relationships to you and of ages. It's unlikely that you'll find subjects of interest to them all. I would like to read more about monday - friday; i.e., how you are dealing with day to day issues like your interactions with Andy/Apollo/neighbors, your vocational issues, and your goals.

How about a series of posts from Apollos point of view.

A series of inappropriate photos taken of Andy without his permission. This could segue into some of J's ideas.

Cook up assorted breakfast meats, sit down with them, a needle and a thread, work for 1/2 an hour, photograph ensuing product.

Poems.

Scathing critiques.

Explanations and apologies for specific female anatomy.
